This past Friday I was blessed to watch Pete Rock and CL Smooth come together again for their reunion tour with Camp Lo. This was Hip-Hop at its most immaculate. The spinning, the delivery, the crowds - all aspects of the show did these golden age legends justice. I wasn’t surprised to turn around from my front stage view to learn that seemingly the entire max occupancy crowd knew every lyric to every song he performed. I’ll take this example to make sure I try to hit a show whenever hip-hop like this shows its face in Seattle. Looking back at the reaction I see in the faces of these hip-hop legends when they realize that seattleites are REAL hip-hop heads, I can see a strong future in our concert scene.
lol @ That moment when all you want are some Dick’s burgers at midnight so you drive there and freaking Macklemore is shooting a music video. So you go to the next Dick’s but it’s packed too with all the dumb people who went to the wrong Dick’s for the music video.
Thanks, I love my art. And my strangeness oozes out of it. I’m great, very busy - had 6 video shoots in the last 2 weeks. #dead
